Currently exhibited in Roubaix at the European Custom Board Show, the idea for these three boards came into fruition while wandering a Parisian Cemetery (where many great ideas appear). 

After visiting a few skate art exhibitions, I had the desire to mix traditional and contemporary painting styles on the stunning layered maple that makes a board.  Keeping this maple in sight was very important when I was considering how the finished paintings would look.  There’s nothing more satisfying than good sanded and varnish woodgrain, I used modern dyes to give some really striking colour to the wood ensuring it would be able wrench any eyes in the room in its direction.
