BORDER FORCE. 76cm. X 56cm. Soft pastels and Promarkers. I have for a long time been bored with the rectangle shape I always draw on paper before starting a new drawing. Being the largest shape that a viewer of the finished drawing will see, it is usually totally ignored. Whilst watching the news on TV, the term Border Force kept coming up and it got me thinking about my art. My art has no border force, what I am saying is that my border has no power and because of this, you are not forced to look at it, in fact, you totally ignore it. With all of this in my mind, I wanted to give my border some kind of power that it will not be ignored. I do not have all the answers to this border problem but then again nor did the experts on the TV.
