The very first work in the “Important Nothings” series. I had previously created a small painting of a bowl of mint imperials a few years ago after discovering the work of Patrick Caulfield. This collage features my favourite moment, a cup of tea, a good film and a bowl of mint imperials. It Includes a cut photograph of a scene from the classic film Casablanca. The film was on television at the time the idea about Important Nothings came about. Hand made and hand painted white and blue frame.
