Realism in Watercolour
Specialist watercolour artist
Watercolor on paper, size 56 x 55 cm "Water Whispers" captures a moment of intense silence, where water merges with a woman's soulful gaze. The clear drops of water sliding down her face whisper an intimate dialogue between vulnerability and renewal, as if the water carries unspoken truths and silent reflections. Her eyes, filled with indescribable emotion, seem to hide untold stories, inviting the viewer to explore their depths. The play of light and water subtly reveals the glow of the skin, transforming this painting into a celebration of purity and connection with oneself. This work speaks of rebirth, the calming power of nature, and the quiet discovery of strength in a moment of peace.
About the artist
I’m Arūnas, a self-taught artist with a passion for both watercolour painting and furniture art. My journey into the art world is anything but traditional, shaped by a lifelong curiosity, intuition, and a drive to create beauty that resonates with the soul.
From Furniture to Watercolours
For over 30 years, I’ve poured my creativity into designing and producing unique, bespoke furniture and décor, with a particular love for the flowing, nature-inspired forms of Art Nouveau. This style’s abundant curves, organic motifs, and inherent elegance have deeply influenced my artistic vision.
Although I have always dabbled in painting, it wasn’t until 2016 that watercolour art truly captivated me. At first, this medium felt daunting—unpredictable and demanding—but it also promised boundless opportunities for expression. Overcoming my initial hesitation, I embraced the challenge, and watercolours soon became as vital to me as air.
Awards and Achievements
My work has been recognized on prestigious international stages for realism art, including ARC Salon Competitions, Almenara Art price, ModPortrait and other.
These honours fuel my desire to continue exploring the interplay of light, emotion, and the intricate details that make watercolor so mesmerizing.
Art as a Journey
My art reflects an unending gratitude for the beauty of life. Each brushstroke is a step on a path of discovery—a journey where perfection is irrelevant, and the joy lies in self-expression.
Through my art, I hope to bring moments of peace, wonder, and connection to those who encounter it.
Commissions
I invite you on a special creative journey, where your thoughts, feelings, dreams, and experiences become inspiration for art. It’s a journey where every idea transforms into colours, every emotion into a dance of light and shadow, and every experience into a story immortalized in a painting. My greatest joy is turning your thoughts, feelings, dreams, and experiences into a work of art radiating warmth and vitality.
Every brushstroke is an effort to capture your visions, emotions, and dreams. If you can imagine a piece that eloquently tells your story or conveys a meaningful moment, allow me to turn it into art. It’s more than just a painting – it’s a part of your life preserved in art, a meaningful and heartfelt memory that will last forever.
With the utmost respect and love, I approach each commission, striving to reveal what your heart wishes to express and translate it into art that speaks for you. Whether you dream of a portrait, a natural landscape, an elegant nude, the beauty of an animal, a floral composition, or have another idea, I am ready to turn your vision into a unique work of art. Each painting becomes a reflection of your world, blending beauty and deep emotions.
Contact me, and together we will create an artwork that will accompany you for a lifetime. I look forward to hearing your story and capturing it in the magic of watercolour.
