How the wedding gift fund works
1. Apply with the idea
Tell us the couple’s story, intended outcome, target, timing and whether they will choose after the reveal.
2. CommissionIt creates the fund
We approve the project, agree the rules and prepare a private branded contribution page.
3. Invite contributions
Guests pay securely, select a suggested or custom amount and can leave a private message.
4. Shape the commission
The couple or organiser reviews three creative directions, approves the brief and we manage the artist or maker.

A flexible outcome, clearly explained
After the campaign closes, CommissionIt checks the ledger and completes any required review period. We then work directly with the verified recipient to apply the eligible balance towards a bespoke artwork or creative project managed by CommissionIt. The verified net balance cannot be withdrawn, transferred or divided as money.
If the target is reached
The primary client approves the funding position and final brief before production begins.
If the target is missed
The primary client can pay the balance, extend the deadline or select a suitable lower cost commission.
If more budget is preferred
Upgrades remain optional. At least one complete option must be available within the funded amount.

Before creating the fund
Do guests need an account?
No. Contributors can use guest checkout, leave an optional message and choose whether their name is displayed.
Does the couple need to choose the commission first?
No. The organiser can begin with the story and intended outcome. The couple can help select or refine the direction after the reveal.
What happens if the target is not reached?
CommissionIt will review the verified balance with the organiser and recipient. Depending on the terms, the campaign may be extended, the creative brief may be adjusted, or another permitted outcome may be agreed.
Can the target be exceeded?
CommissionIt reviews the proposed target before publication. Contributions may be paused or closed when appropriate. Final availability is always based on the reconciled financial ledger, not the displayed campaign target.
Can contributors receive a refund?
Approved refunds return through the original WooCommerce order and payment method, subject to the fund and project terms.
When does the commission begin?
Production starts only after the primary client approves the brief, the funding position and the artist or maker proposal.
Can a planner or family member organise it?
Yes. A couple, family member, friend or wedding professional can apply to organise the fund, subject to CommissionIt approval.

CommissionIt Group Funds are currently offered as a limited private beta. Campaign review, reconciliation, recipient verification and commission approval are completed through controlled checks.
What is a CommissionIt Group Fund?
It allows friends, relatives or colleagues to contribute together towards a bespoke artwork or creative project managed by CommissionIt. It is not a bank account, savings product or general purpose collection service.
What happens to payment processing fees?
The public total may show gross contributions. Processing fees, refunds, disputes, chargebacks and reversals can reduce the verified net balance available for the commission.
What happens when the campaign closes?
CommissionIt stops new contributions, reconciles the immutable ledger and completes any required review period before confirming the commission budget.
How can the recipient use the verified balance?
The verified net balance can be used only towards a bespoke artwork or creative project managed by CommissionIt. It cannot be withdrawn, transferred or divided as money.
Why does the recipient need to be verified?
Verification helps CommissionIt confirm the intended recipient, prevent fraud and protect the commission process. Sensitive information must be supplied only through the secure route requested by CommissionIt.
Can a contributor request a refund?
Contact CommissionIt promptly. Refunds depend on applicable consumer law, the campaign circumstances, the payment provider process and the Group Fund Terms.
